ABOUT ME

About me

Hello! I'm known as Andarsia on the internet, and I am a self-taught artist who practices the art styles of semi and hyper-realism. Since the tender age of 4, I have been drawing for about 12 years. It was until the age of 11 that I began taking a hobby, art, more seriously. What caused me to develop a passion for art was how I had the ability to distribute and portray scenes in my imagination directly onto a sheet of paper with just a pencil. As a kid, I created custom characters, fanart of Disney princesses, portraits of imaginary people, and fantasy creatures. Before I knew it, it became a frequent hobby of mine as I gradually improved, noticeable throughout the years.

I thought art school was unnecessary and I didn't want my creative freedom or drive to be suppressed by strict standards on what I should draw, how I should draw, and when I should draw. I instead went down the path of figuring everything out on my own via making mistakes, YouTube speed-paints, and observing pieces of art to figure out what techniques were used and how to reach that conclusion. I initially began drawing in a cartoonish-anime-like style for most of my art journey before I decided to attempt an art style that I had never ever done before, which was realism at age 11. Till that point on, this learning experience had massively benefited my art through an understanding of 3d objects, light, and has improved my intuition.

Feeling a surge of confidence after all of this experience and improvement, I started various social media accounts with the permission of my parents which were at first managed by both me and my parents. The content I would post was very casual and at first did not reach much people, until I uploaded reels showcasing my previous yearly art improvements. Some videos went viral despite receiving a threshold of negative comments due to disbelief. As much as there were hate comments, there were also more than comparable amounts of positivity and support.

Though, my goal isn't to turn art into a career or become famous off of it. I just like to draw because it makes me happy~
