MS Paint Minnie Challenge
One of my hardest art challenges yet...

大家好~ This post will document all of the torture and wrist pain that went into this fanart drawing of Minnie on MS paint. I actually drew this on a mouse. Warning: Do not try this at home.
Seriously, how do mouse artists mouse art啊? Maybe they're just built different. Such resilient hands.
The Beginning
I still don't know how I did this, but I was able to correct the proportions with the lasso tool and draw over the "creases" left from moving the pixels around to get to this point.
As for the jewelry and Chada headdress (Traditional Thai hat), I really just layered various bright and dark strokes together and hoped that they would mesh together in harmony.
Hey, but she still doesn't quite look like Minnie. We're only barely halfway done because we still have the background to do.
I was contemplating including the background because my wrists were already dead at this point.
Well... I decided that I would include the background because it felt too early to stop.
Then it got to the background and props, which were arguably the most difficult part of this entire drawing. I was trying really hard to make the metal of prop that she was holding straight.
I think I actually sat there for hours with barely any breaks in-between. I was looking at it so much, all I saw were strokes and blodges of color rather than the Nang Songkran herself.
I guess I'm really chronically online when it comes to drawing.
The thing is, the background and Minnie looked like completely separate images. I wanted to make it look like she was actually a part of the background, and I realized that I needed to "airbrush" her way in to achieve this look.
Although there is no airbrush tool in MS paint, I improvised and switched to the pencil/watercolor brush, lowered the opacity and started layering light blue. gray and light pink to build up an airbrushed-looking atmosphere.
